Winter has traditionally been a time of rest and storytelling in Indigenous communities. In that tradition, Winter Storytelling: A Celebration of Indigenous Film is a chance to increase dialogue between indigenous and settler communities.
Winter Storytelling: A Celebration of Indigenous Film will feature three films over February 2024 at the Princess Twin Cinema in Waterloo,
Run Woman Run on Monday, February 5th, at 2:00 pm,
Beans on Monday, February 12th, at 2:00 pm, and
Bones of Crows on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:00 pm.
A discussion will follow each film. This free event is sponsored by the CFUW K-W (formerly the Canadian Federation of University Women, Kitchener-Waterloo) in partnership with Conestoga College, the University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University.
Donations to Indigenous Youth Roots will be welcomed at the door.
