September 2nd – 4th Canadian International Air Show
Canada’s largest and longest-running airshow is back in Toronto for the Labor Day weekend. This packed air display showcases modern military jets, vintage warbirds, thrilling aerobatics, and the beloved Canadian Forces Snowbirds celebrating their 50th season.

September 22nd to October 29th – Halloween Haunt (Canada’s Wonderland)
Canada’s Wonderland Halloween Hunt returns in the fall, transforming the theme park into a scream park filled with Halloween attractions that offer unforgettable thrills and unspeakable horror. Art Shows/Exhibitions
August 17th to September 23rd – Essence by Moses Salihou
Curated by Mariah Coulibaly, Essence questions the nature of things and the elements that make them up. The choice of colors, the outlines of form, and the suggestion of facial features reveal the essence of the painter’s subjects. This exhibition features the work of Toronto-based painter Moses Salihou. Moses’s work is present in private collections around the world (Africa, Europe, Asia, and America).
Moses is a self-taught artist; he works with various media(oil, watercolor, acrylic, pigments, paper, canvas, and panel wood). He describes his work as “Between abstraction and figuration.” Inspired by his surroundings and everyday life, his paintings blend vibrant colors and movement to encourage dialogue about belonging and existence.

September 22nd to September 24th – ArtWalk in the Square
ArtWalk in the Square is a 3-day public outdoor showcase of fine arts by established and emerging Canadian artists at the vast CF Shops at Don Mills. This event lets you shop for affordable and unique artwork and engage your favorite Canadian artists.
Over 80 established and emerging artists will exhibit painting, photography, mixed media, printmaking, drawing, glass, sculpture, and more!

September 21st to October 8th – FatsPatrol – the humans
Canadian artist and muralist Fathima Mohiuddin hosts her first solo show and exhibition at the Worth Gallery. This exhibition depicts the complex nature and layers that make up human existence in unique, wonderful, and detailed hybrid works of art. You can check out some of her incredible work here.

September 23rd to September 24th – Queen West Art Crawl
The Queen West Art Crawl multi-arts festival is in downtown Toronto’s heart. September 23rd – Nuit Blanche Toronto
Since its inception in 2006, Nuit Blanche is Toronto’s all-night celebration of contemporary art.
This September 23rd, Neighborhoods across the city will come to life with inspiring pop-up art installations featuring three key exhibition areas: Etobicoke, Downtown, and Scarborough. This year’s theme, Breaking Ground, invites artists to explore ideas centered around the natural world and being on the vanguard of change and innovation.
Nuit Blanche Toronto 2023 will showcase three Toronto-based curators:
Lillian O’Brien Davis will lead the exhibition in Etobicoke.
Kari Cwynar will lead the exhibition downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods.
Noa Bronstein will lead the exhibition in Scarborough.

September 21st – Startup Fashion Week™ – Model Casting
Returning for its 10th year, StartUp Fashion Week- Model Casting hosts a model casting for female, male, and a few androgynous models who would like to volunteer to walk in their runway show on October 27th. There are no minimum height requirements. All models are welcome to audition.

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is Canada’s largest annual community event and one of the largest fairs in North America. September 16th – Puppy Picasso Paint Party by Toronto Dog Moms
This event is a dog-friendly paint party that enables attendees and doggo lovers to channel their inner Picasso to create a piece of artwork of their dog with their dog.

September 19th – East York Rotary Club Golf Tournament Fundraiser
For 25 years and counting, the Rotary Club of Toronto East has hosted an annual golf tournament to raise funds to support local and international charitable causes. This year’s primary themes are food insecurity and protecting the environment.

September 23rd – RBC Race For The Kids
RBC Race for Kids is a community race that raises funds for Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project. A free service pairs youths(13-26) with mental health and addiction challenges and their families with clinically trained navigators who connect them with the needed services. FNP serves families in the Greater Toronto Area.
You can register for the race here.
To participate and make a lasting difference in youth in our community, a minimum fundraising of $150 for adults and $50 for children/youth, or an average of $150 per person amongst team members, will be required to be raised by September 4th.
After the race, there is an opportunity to commemorate the day in a photo booth, meet RBC Olympians, and enjoy snacks, refreshments, live entertainment, kids’ activities, and much more!
