Canadian small businesses have a new opportunity to access funding, technology, mentorship, and national exposure as TELUS launches the 2026 #StandWithOwners Contest.

Created to help entrepreneurs grow and thrive in an increasingly digital world, the annual program brings together leading organizations including Google, Salesforce, Samsung, Scotiabank, and other partners to support Canadian businesses through funding and business growth resources.

This year, nine businesses will be selected to receive prize packages designed to help accelerate growth, expand their reach, and strengthen their business operations.
Available Funding and Opportunities
There will be nine (9) winners in total through the program. Three (3) Grand Prize Category Award Winners and six (6) community award winners.
- Three Grand Prize Category Winners will each receive a prize package valued at $125,000, including $50,000 in direct funding to support business growth and exposure.
- Six Community Award Winners will each receive $10,000 in direct funding, along with additional business support and promotional opportunities.
Following the announcement of the category and community award winners on October 1, 2026, Canadians will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite #StandWithOwners winner. The business that receives the most public votes will receive an additional $25,000 in funding.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 #StandWithOwners Contest, businesses must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently operational, legally registered, and revenue-generating in Canada
- Have between 1 and 100 employees
- The applicant must be a Canadian resident who has reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence
- The applicant must be either:
- The owner of the business; or
- An employee of the business who has obtained written permission from the owner, president, or chief executive officer to submit the application
