Dog lovers and four-legged friends alike are in for a treat this weekend as Barkham Festival returns to Markham Museum on June 13th and 14th for two days of doggo-friendly fun, entertainment, shopping, and unforgettable experiences.

Returning for its fourth year, the festival is expected to welcome thousands of visitors and their pups for a weekend packed with unique photo opportunities, over 100 pet-focused vendors, live demonstrations, interactive activities, and family-friendly entertainment.

Festival Highlights
One of this year’s most unique attractions is the Paws-itively Ever-After Wedding Photos experience. The historic Markham Museum will transform into the perfect setting for canine wedding portraits, complete with professional photography, wedding attire, cake, activities, and seating for up to 25 guests. Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti will even be on hand to help kick off Mango and Latte’s special ceremony on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Visitors can also explore Barkville Mall, a bustling marketplace featuring more than 100 local and out-of-province businesses offering pet apparel, treats, accessories, wellness products, services, and gifts for both dogs and their humans.

Food-loving pups can stop by Barkham Café, York Region’s first human-friendly dog café. For active dogs, the Doggy Pawlympics will provide plenty of excitement. From lure coursing and agility competitions to Sniffscape® challenges and live demonstrations, dogs will have the opportunity to showcase their speed, athleticism, and skills throughout the weekend.
