Small business owners in Canada can participate in the TELUS #StandwithOwners small business contest for a chance to win $200,000 in funding, technology, and exposure to help their businesses thrive.

The #StandwithOwners Contest offers cash grants, advertising funds, business packages, and prizes, courtesy of TELUS, to business owners in Canada based on their responses to the contest questions. The contest aims to support small business owners who:

• Demonstrate how they adapted to stand out from your peers and grow your business.
• Share how their team, whether employees, mentors, volunteers, family, friends, or other support networks, help contribute to your success.
• Demonstrate how your business contributes to making its community more sustainable, diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

Available Funding and Prizes

There will be twenty winners in total: Five (5) Grand Prize winners and fifteen (15) finalist prize winners.

• Grand Prize Winners receive direct funding of $75,000 with additional perks including advertising and exposure, TELUS technology package, TELUS business credit, well-being package, and more valued at $125,000
• Finalist Prize Winners receive direct funding of $10,000 with a TELUS technology package, TELUS business credit, and more valued at $10,000

In addition to the prize winners, fifteen (15) entrants will be selected for a special feature on TELUS Business social media platforms (“Spotlight Selection”).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Eligible small businesses must meet the following criteria.

• The contest is open to Canadian businesses that are currently operational, legally registered, revenue-generating, and have between 1 and 100 employees.
• Eligible applicants include for-profit businesses, registered charities, not-for-profit organizations, and social enterprises.
• Applicants must be residents of Canada and have reached the age of majority according to the laws of the Province where they reside.
• Applicants must be the business owner or an employee of an eligible business who has obtained written permission to participate in this application from the owner.
