This weekend, Kothu Fest returns to Scarborough for a full-day celebration of Tamil food, culture, and community.
Taking over Albert Campbell Square on July 4, the one-day festival will bring together some of the city’s best Kothu vendors for a lively celebration of flavour, tradition, and local culture.

Food lovers can look forward to authentic Tamil cuisine, a Kothu Eating Competition, and a must-watch live Kothu Roti Competition, where judges will determine the winners for Best Kothu Roti, Best Goat Curry, and the People’s Choice Award.
Alongside the food, guests can explore the festival’s artisan marketplace, featuring local vendors, small businesses, crafts, clothing, handmade goods, and cultural products.

Throughout the day, there will also be live entertainment, performances, artist showcases, and DJ sets, creating a full-day community celebration in the heart of Scarborough.
