This May, the Beaches Recreation Centre will host Toronto’s Largest Youth Market and Fundraiser as Kid2Kid’s Marketplace returns on May 30th. Now in its fourth year, the family-friendly market brings together more than 200 youth entrepreneurs, ages 4 to 15, for a morning of shopping, entertainment, and community impact.
Guests can browse a wide range of handmade creations, including baked goods, beverages, jewellery, accessories, sports-themed gifts, plushies, stickers, wooden crafts, slime, key chains, activity kits, beauty products, toys, and books.
Beyond shopping, the event offers a full lineup of entertainment and activities. Live music will be provided by Sugar Rush Band, alongside dance performances from Abanico Latin Dance Academy. Food options include a pop-up BBQ by Fearless Meat and pizza from Pizza Pizza.
Families can also enjoy interactive experiences throughout the venue, including a make-your-own puppet station by Chickadeedee, character appearances, photo opportunities, and face painting.
More than just a market, Kid2Kid’s Marketplace is built around giving back. To date, the initiative has raised over $50,000 for youth programs and charities, including support for children at the Red Door Family Shelter in Leslieville. Youth vendors also contribute by donating 50 percent of their proceeds at the end of the event.
With a focus on creativity, community, and impact, this is a meaningful way to support the next generation of entrepreneurs while enjoying a fun day out in the city.
As always, you can keep up with the latest things to do across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area on efosa.
