This June, a celebration of Indigenous arts and culture will take place at Biidaasige Park, bringing together music, dance, artisan vendors, culinary experiences, and cultural showcases from First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples of Turtle Island.

Taking place on June 20th, the free, family-friendly event will highlight the richness, diversity, and unique contributions of Indigenous communities across Tkaronto, Toronto, and Canada.

Throughout the day, guests can experience traditional dancing, drumming, and live performances that reflect the depth and vibrancy of Indigenous culture. Programming will include cultural showcases such as Métis jigging, Inuit drum dancing, and Pow Wow dances, along with interactive workshops including Hoop Dance workshops and a Pow Wow Boot Camp.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to shop from Indigenous craft and food vendors, offering a meaningful way to support Indigenous makers, artists, and culinary entrepreneurs while learning more about their work and traditions.

Later in the evening, the festival will continue with a live concert on the main stage featuring award-winning contemporary Indigenous musicians, including Manitou Mkwa Singers, Lacey Hill, Derek Miller, and Susan Aglukark.

From cultural performances and workshops to food, shopping, and live music, the Indigenous Arts Festival offers a welcoming opportunity to celebrate, learn, and experience the heritage and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.
