One of Toronto’s most anticipated spring events, Doors Open Toronto, returns this May, giving guests rare access to some of the city’s most unique buildings, hidden spaces, and heritage sites all for free.
Running from May 23rd to 24th, the weekend-long event invites visitors to explore the people, places, and stories that make Toronto one of the world’s most diverse and dynamic cities.
From historic landmarks and cultural institutions to creative studios and behind-the-scenes spaces, Doors Open offers a chance to experience the city in a way that isn’t normally possible.
Select locations will also offer guided tours, allowing guests to dive deeper into the history and culture of Toronto’s vibrant neighbourhoods with the help of knowledgeable local guides.
All participating sites will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across both days.
With more than 150 locations across the city, planning your visit can feel overwhelming. To make things easier, we’ve organized this year’s participating locations by neighbourhood, so you can explore what’s nearby and plan your route accordingly.
You can enter and visit Toronto’s most unique buildings during Doors Open. Here is everything you need to know
