Eco-friendly shopping, electric vehicle test drives, and hands-on activities are coming to Wychwood Barns as Toronto’s annual eco-friendly event, EcoFair Toronto, returns on November 8th for a fun day celebrating all things eco and greener living.

Presented by the Green Neighbours Network of Toronto and Transition Toronto, the free, family-friendly event will bring together more than 50 environmentally focused businesses and non-profit organizations, offering eco-friendly products and ideas for greener living in homes and communities.

Discover Greener Ways to Live

Visitors can meet representatives from local, city-wide, and national organizations working to protect the environment. Experts will also be available to share advice on home retrofits and improving indoor air quality.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy hands-on activities, including textile crafts using upcycled materials, nature-focused activities, storytelling, and a chance to see what’s inside a computer.

Other highlights include making earth-friendly body care products, test-driving electric vehicles, a tree giveaway, and recycling electronics with Free Geek Toronto. Food, including vegetarian-friendly options, will also be available.

Visitors can refresh their wardrobes at the free clothing swap from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Item drop-off begins at 11:30 am.

Support Local Community Initiatives

Guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items or make a monetary donation to The Stop Community Food Centre at the welcome tables.

The fair will also accept donations of new men’s socks, gloves, and personal care products for Na-Me-Res, a local Indigenous men’s shelter that provides shelter and outreach services.

Two silent auctions supporting EcoFair Toronto will take place at 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm.

Whether you’re looking to make more sustainable choices or enjoy a fun day out with the family, this year’s eco event has plenty to discover.
