The Toronto International Harp Festival 2026 will bring an extraordinary celebration of harp music, live concerts, global artistry, and cultural storytelling to Toronto on July 11th and 12th.

Also known as iHarpFest, the festival will feature special performances by world-class harpists, alongside an impressive lineup of internationally acclaimed harpists, educators, and composers. This year’s featured artists include Catherine Michel of the Paris Opera Orchestra, Jana Boušková of the Czech Philharmonic, Shamim Minoo, Frances Duffy, Kathleen Bride, Sarah Bullen, Rita Costanzi, Matthew James Van Driel, and Andrew Chan.

Centered around the theme “World’s Heritage. Canada’s Harmony.”, this year’s festival invites harpists, educators, students, composers, and music lovers from around the world to experience a week of concerts and special performances across the Aga Khan Museum and The Ismaili Centre.

Drawing inspiration from the historic grandeur of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897, iHarpFest 2026 explores how music has long served as a bridge between culture, identity, and shared heritage. More than a century later, the harp returns to centre stage in Toronto, not as an instrument of royal courts, but as a symbol of tradition, innovation, and multicultural connection.

Running alongside the festival is the Toronto International Harp Summer Institute, taking place from July 6th to 10th at All Nations Event Centre in Markham. The institute offers harp students the opportunity to study with world-renowned instructors, including Catherine Michel and Kathleen Bride, while engaging with international peers in a collaborative learning environment.
iHarpFest 2026 celebrates the harp’s timeless sounds in one of the world’s most multicultural cities, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience the instrument through classical performances and storytelling.
