One of Toronto’s historic locations, Campbell House Museum, will be transformed into a domain where the past lingers, and unseen forces begin to stir as an immersive dance theatre experience, Echoes of the Underworld, swoons into Toronto this Summer.
Created by choreographer Emily Cheung in Partnership with Little Pear Garden Dance Company, this immersive dance theatre experience invites guests to move through the historic home in small groups, encountering fragments of a supernatural story across dim corridors and candlelit rooms.
Each space reveals a new thread, from restless spirits and lost love to ancient rituals, until all paths converge in a powerful final sequence.
Running on select dates in June, Echoes of the Underworld draws inspiration from Chinese folklore and legend, using movement, sound, and atmosphere to create a deeply immersive experience. The production also makes full use of the home’s unique architecture. Built in 1812, the Campbell House remains one of Toronto’s few surviving examples of Georgian design, adding an extra layer of depth to the storytelling.
Tickets for the performance start at $44 can be purchased here.
