Window Wonderland, Toronto’s award-winning outdoor art exhibition, is back to the Junction from November 29th, 2024, to January 31st, 2025, transforming the neighborhood into a must-see holiday attraction – an outdoor gallery filled with 20 augmented reality (AR) window installations and ten murals by both local and international artists.

Window Wonderland is presented in collaboration with the internationally renowned Artivive app, a leader in augmented reality art exhibitions. Visitors can interact with the artwork and watch it come to life with immersive digital animations, adding an exciting new dimension to the experience.

New this year is Flora and Fauna, a new mural by local artist Lula Lumaj and animator Sima Nasee. This stunning new AR installation, created in partnership with the City of Toronto Outdoor Mural Street Art Program, is at 384 Pacific Ave. This mural celebrates the Butterfly Gardens and local pollinators, fostering a deeper connection to the local environment.

Window Wonderland is a staple holiday attraction in Toronto, featuring window installations and beautiful murals in the Junction BIA, one of the coolest neighborhoods in Toronto. It is well known for being Toronto’s Patio Lover’s Paradise in the summer and Window Wonderland in the winter.

It has earned distinguished accolades, showcasing its success as an immersive urban art experience. In 2021, the event received the Ontario BIA Association’s Initiative Award, recognizing its unique contribution to community engagement and creativity. In 2022, Window Wonderland was honored with the International Downtown Association’s Award of Excellence and TABIA’s Events Award, underscoring its role as a premier event in Toronto’s cultural landscape. Most recently, the event was awarded OBIAA’s 2023 Award of Excellence in Streetscaping & Public Realm Improvements and TABIA’s 2023 Mural Award, celebrating the event’s contributions to public art and community spaces.
