One of Toronto’s historic grounds, Ontario’s Legislative Building will come alive with autumn activities when the Fall Festival at Queen’s Park returns for a free, family-friendly celebration on October 17th.

Visitors can enjoy the fall colours on the Legislature’s grounds while exploring the Parliamentary Pumpkin Patch with lots of pumpkins! There will be crafts and lawn games, face painting and lots of photo opportunities. The outdoor activities also include inflatables, fun zones and live pumpkin carving by Zac’s Jacks.

Those looking to shop can get fresh seasonal produce, locally made foods and handcrafted goods in a bubbly outdoor market. Families can visit the Almost A Farm Petting Zoo to meet farm animals and learn about their care in a hands-on environment

The entertainment lineup includes Urban Cowboy Line Dancing, the Farmer’s Daughter Show, music from Sugar the Band and a performance by Mexican folk dance group Tonatiuh Grupo Folklórico. Alyssa Delbaere-Sawchuk and Amanda Rheaume will also present Mâmawin’towin: A Métis Kitchen Party.

Inside Ontario’s Legislative Building, visitors can take a self-guided tour, enjoy more crafts and photo opportunities, and watch live performances by the West End Riverboat Band and Natasha Meister. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Quorum Café.
