The Paul Barber Foundation, a family-run philanthropic foundation based in Toronto, offers up to $30,000 in grant funds through its uplifting single mothers grant program to support, empower, and build stability for single mothers and their children.
More about the Uplifting Single Mothers grant
The primary goal of the Uplifting Single Mother’s Grant program is to support single mothers in overcoming the systemic and societal barriers that may be hindering their success and, by extension, the success of their families. The objectives of the grant program include to:
- Empower single mothers to improve their economic well-being through career advancement, education, or training.
- Promote stability in the lives of single mothers and their families by alleviating challenges such as childcare costs, housing instability, or access to affordable necessities.
- Help single mothers access the support and resources they need, such as mental health support, legal assistance, access to healthcare, etc.
- Provide support to single mothers in vulnerable demographics, such as young mothers, women living in low-income households, and women experiencing physical or mental health challenges.
Available Funding/Prizing
- Up to $30,000 a year for a 4 year period
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria for the grant include
- The organization must be a registered charity.
- Programming must take place within Canada (any province or territory)
- Programming must fulfill the objectives of this grant.
