Canada’s largest street festival, Taste of the Danforth is officially returning to Toronto this August from August 7th to 9th, bringing three days of food, music, culture, entertainment, and family-friendly activities to Danforth Avenue.

Greek culture remains at the heart of the festival, with traditional food, live music, dance performances, and cultural experiences featured throughout the weekend. The event will also reflect Toronto’s diversity, allowing visitors the chance to explore more than 25 international cuisines.

Participating restaurants will offer affordable “Taste” menus, with many dishes starting at $6, allowing visitors to sample food from multiple establishments. Guests can also enjoy free live entertainment across four stages: the World Stage, RBC Showcase Stage, Greek Stage, and OLG’s “Let’s Dance” Stage.

Returning this year is one of Greece’s most famous traditions by safely breaking plates and creating your own unforgettable Taste of the Danforth memory. Other highlights will include a Heineken Beer Garden, an immersive photo opportunity, and the chance to win free movie passes.

Families and visitors of all ages can expect cultural performances, attractions, activations, and interactive experiences throughout the festival grounds. Family-friendly programming will include a Kids Fun Zone, face painting, a complimentary live manga portrait session with acclaimed artist Martin Cortes, Robolab, and an Amusement Park Zone.

Approximately 1.5 million visitors are expected to attend the free street festival, which will feature more than 100 participating restaurants and businesses.
