Taste of North York returns to Mel Lastman Square this June for a three-day celebration of food, culture and community from June 5th to 7th.

Presented by NeighbourLink North York, this community and food festival will feature local food vendors, artisans, live performances, cultural programming, dance workshops, and family-friendly activities.
A Celebration of North York’s Diverse Communities
Over 3 days, visitors can expect a curated selection of food vendors and cultural groups representing communities across the area, including but not limited to Chinese, Korean, Indian, Persian, Latin, Ukrainian, Caribbean, Japanese, Italian, and Filipino communities.

The festival will also feature live performances with bands, musical acts, and cultural showcases taking place throughout the weekend. Attendees can also take part in interactive dance experiences, including Bollywood, Latin, Persian, Filipino, and Ukrainian dance workshops.
Food, Entertainment, and Family-Friendly Activities
Alongside the food and entertainment, guests can enjoy live art, caricature artists, aerial hammocks, giant games, mini-putt, local artisans, and family-friendly activities across the square.

Meet & Eat Community Gathering
A day after the festival, NeighbourLink North York will also host Meet & Eat, a community-focused gathering where attendees can connect with local charities, non-profits, cultural organizations, clubs, and community leaders.
All about Community
Taste of North York also supports an important community cause. Net proceeds from the festival will go toward NeighbourLink’s food bank and community care programs, which support local children, families, and seniors experiencing poverty and social isolation.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to help fill a 32 Division police cruiser. Food collected will support NeighbourLink’s two food banks, which serve more than 1,000 North York residents each month.

With food, music, cultural performances, community programming, and a strong give-back component, Taste of North York is perfect event to kick off the summer season.
