The McMaster Indigenous Research Institute (MIRI) hosts an engaging and thought-provoking Lunch and Learn as part of the Indigenous Research Primer, Seasons of Research: A Conversation about Prison Education.
This event will occur at the L.R. Wilson Hall, room 1811, the Indigenous Student Services Ceremony Room.
During this Lunch and Learn, attendees will share a meal and delve into the transformative power of education in correctional facilities.
Director of MIRI and National Director of Walls to Bridges, Dr. Savage Bear, alongside her colleague, Assistant Director of MIRI Sara Howdle, PhD Candidate, will discuss the importance of providing educational opportunities to incarcerated individuals.
