Indigenous-Led Events happening in Ontario – November
Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health hosts a two-day workshop for First Nations, Inuit & Metis community members to gain deeper insight while learning teachings and healing through art therapy. This workshop is led by Linda Manitowabi, an Ojibwe language teacher who has studied art therapy at the University of Western Ontario. For many years, Linda has been learning the traditional teachings and ceremonies of the Ojibwe Midewiwin Society. She combines her art therapy background with these conventional teachings to connect with Indigenous people on their healing journey.
