Japan Festival CANADA, Canada’s largest celebration of Japanese culture, returns to Celebration Square in Mississauga this August for three days of live performances, authentic food, shopping, and cultural experiences.

Following its milestone 10-year celebration in 2025, the festival will once again transform the heart of Mississauga into a vibrant showcase of Japanese tradition, innovation, music, food, and community.

Headlining this year’s festival is Japanese singer and voice actress Aika Kobayashi, best known for her work in the popular Love Live! multimedia franchise. Fans can also experience ticketed exclusive meet-and-greets and front-row concert access for a price.
Over three days, Japan Festival CANADA will offer an immersive multimedia experience featuring interactive programming and more than two dozen live performances from Japanese and Canadian music and dance acts.
Visitors can also explore a colourful marketplace filled with vendors, unique products, and food trucks serving a variety of Japanese dishes and festival favourites.
Since launching in 2016, Japan Festival CANADA has become a major destination for cultural exchange and the celebration of Japanese heritage across the Greater Toronto Area.
The free annual outdoor festival brings together international performers, dignitaries, business leaders, diaspora communities, and Japanese culture enthusiasts for a weekend of cultural enrichment and summer entertainment.
Held in Mississauga, the sister city of Kariya, Japan, the festival welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
