This weekend, Square One Shopping Centre will transform its P3 parking lot into a massive action-sports venue as JACKALOPE Mississauga 2026 returns from July 10th to 12th.

Now in its third year, the free festival will welcome more than 200 athletes competing and performing across five action-sport disciplines, including skateboarding, BMX, Moto X, climbing, and calisthenics.

At the centre of the weekend will be the Street and Vert skateboarding competitions, where professional athletes will compete for a combined $50,000 prize purse, divided equally between the men’s and women’s categories.
A Giant Airport-Inspired Skate Course
One of the major highlights of this year’s event is a newly built 39-metre street course designed to resemble an airport runway.
The course will feature 14 skatable modules, along with immersive details such as airport-themed obstacles, a baggage carousel, and a large flight departure board.

Throughout the weekend, guests can also enjoy high-flying BMX and Moto X demonstrations, calisthenics showcases, live music, DJ sets, food trucks, and a local vendor marketplace.
Visitors looking to take part in the action can try a climbing wall, mini ramp, and mini skatepark, making the festival an interactive experience for spectators of all ages.
Top Athletes Competing at JACKALOPE Mississauga
This year’s athlete lineup includes established international competitors, Olympic athletes, and some of the fastest-rising names in skateboarding.
Australian skateboarder Arisa Trew will compete in the women’s Vert category. At just 16 years old, Trew has already earned several major titles, including an Olympic gold medal and multiple X Games gold medals.
American skateboarder JD Sanchez will compete in men’s Vert after earning three consecutive podium finishes across recent JACKALOPE events.
Juno Matsuoka of Japan will also join the women’s Vert competition after winning events in Ventura and Virginia Beach earlier this year.
Representing Canada in the men’s Street competition are Olympic skateboarder Micky Papa and X Games medalist Ryan Decenzo.
Rising International Talent Takes the Stage
The festival’s Golden Ticket program will also bring upcoming talented skateboarders from around the world to Mississauga.
Through the program, one male and one female athlete in both the Street and Vert categories received an all-expenses-paid opportunity to compete alongside leading professional skateboarders.

Three additional wild-card athletes will participate this year, including the winner of Brazil’s Cavepool event and athletes discovered in Madagascar and South Africa.
The initiative is designed to expand access for rising international talent while enabling emerging athletes to compete on a global stage.
More Than Skateboarding
Beyond the competitions and demonstrations, JACKALOPE Mississauga will offer a full weekend of entertainment and activities.
Guests can expect live music and DJ performances, food trucks, a vendor marketplace, interactive sports activations, and official JACKALOPE afterparties.

The competitions will also be streamed live on the JACKALOPE YouTube channel for viewers unable to attend in person.
