This immersive program is designed for individuals who are passionate about food and ready to pursue a meaningful career in the culinary space. Through the Culinary Skills Training Program, participants will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in today’s culinary and food industry over a 12 week period. The classes will be offered during the day and in the evening.
To be eligible for the program, participants must be
- 18 years or older
- Unemployed and currently seeking employment in the culinary and food industry
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Must be able to commit to the full 12-week program
The program will provide employment support as participants will be assigned to an employment advisor to engage in group workshops for 6 to 10 hours over 12 months (both in-person and online) for resume preparation, job applications, and interview skills. There will also be an option to participate in Food Handler and/or Smart Serve Certifications online.
