Awarding $1000 CAD Grant to individuals, artists, groups and organizations based in Guelph. Application closes on April 26th, 2024.
The City of Guelph is accepting applications for its grants program to support community building by funding creative ideas that activate neighborhoods and arts-based initiatives. The funded initiatives will help build relationships and a sense of belonging in Guelph communities.
ABOUT THE GRANT PROGRAM
The micro-grant program recognizes the arts as an essential vehicle for social change. It offers funding for local artists to engage people creatively to produce a complete work available to the public.
Projects and initiatives that are led by individuals identifying as 2SLGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Person with a Disability, Racialized, and/or Women are prioritized for funding. This funding is open to all. Previous grant writing experience is not required
Available Funding
A minimum of $500 and a maximum of $1000 to support individuals, artists, groups, and organizations based in Guelph
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility criteria for this program include
Artists and Individuals
Collectives (group of 2 or more working together)
Grassroots, neighborhood, or informal groups
Groups incorporated not-for-profit with 1 FTE or less.
Individuals and groups must include at least one individual who is 18 years or older. Youths 16 years and older are eligible for the activating art micro-grant funding.
