Black Creek Farm hosts its annual free-to-attend Farm Festival on July 19th at its home-based location (4929 Jane Street, just south of Steeles) in celebration of food, culture, and the Jane-Finch and its surrounding West-End communities.
This family-friendly event will feature activities for all ages, produce giveaways, a marketplace featuring food and artisan vendors, and a hip-hop dance workshop courtesy of Nathan Baya, bringing more energy to the vibrant scene.
Also, there will be live performances by New Tradition Music, Kibra, Sydanie, and DJ Cur8 as part of the Arts in the Parks initiative from York University’s Goldfarb Gallery. Hosted by Kadiatu Barrie.
To support community initiatives, there will be community booths from
- CultureLink – An Organization that supports newcomers in Canada
- LiveGreen Toronto – a City of Toronto initiative that helps Toronto communities go green
- JAYU – a Toronto-based organization that strives to tell human rights stories through the arts
To add to the fun afternoon, there will be bike repairs, face painting, and braiding by Yankee Goddess and free slushies!
As always, you can keep up with all the fun happenings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area on efosa.
