This Weekend, Toronto’s east end is adding a new neighbourhood food and hangout, Archie’s
Opening to the public on June 26th inside The Broadview Hotel, Archie’s brings elevated comfort food, cocktails, games, and a playful social energy to one of Toronto’s most recognizable landmark locations.

The new restaurant is designed as a relaxed gathering place for both locals and visitors, offering a menu of familiar favourites with a modern twist, alongside a space built for casual dinners, game nights, after-work drinks, and lively nights out with friends.
The Food
Archie’s reimagines classic comfort food through thoughtful presentation, contemporary flavours, and locally inspired ingredients.

The menu features a range of approachable yet elevated dishes, from steak pot pie and chicken supreme to burgers and other familiar staples given a distinctive Archie’s spin.

“Our goal at Archie’s is to create food people know and love while still giving them something new to discover,” said Jason Chapman, Food & Beverage Director at Archie’s. “There’s a real demand for local hangouts in the east end, and we see Archie’s becoming the kind of spot people choose for everything from casual dinners to fun nights out with friends.”
The Space
The 60-seat space includes a mix of bar seating, lounge areas, and booths, along with multiple TVs for catching the game, a pool table, a photobooth, and interactive games that encourage guests to stay, connect, and make a night of it.

Behind the bar, Archie’s offers a beverage program featuring crafted cocktails, wine, local beer, and zero-proof options.

Signature drinks such as The Pole Dancer and White Tiger offer cheeky nods to The Broadview Hotel’s colourful past, adding a playful layer to the restaurant’s personality while keeping the overall experience polished and welcoming.
A New Chapter For The Broadview Hotel
For The Broadview Hotel, Archie’s represents another evolution in the property’s long history as a gathering place in Toronto’s east end.
“Archie’s represents an exciting new chapter for The Broadview Hotel,” said Alicia Too, General Manager of The Broadview Hotel. “The restaurant complements the quality and care guests have come to expect from us and injects fresh energy into the local food and nightlife scene.”

The restaurant is named after Archibald Dingman, the entrepreneur who built the property in 1891 as Dingman’s Hall, a social gathering place for the growing east end community.
Design elements throughout Archie’s pay tribute to that history, blending vintage-inspired details with a warm, contemporary atmosphere.

“Archie’s builds on the legacy of The Broadview Hotel in a way that feels playful, social, and distinctly east end,” said Shivani Lakhanpal, Chief Operating Officer of Archive Hospitality Group. “There’s something really special about seeing a space so deeply rooted in bringing people together evolve once again and feel both current and connected to the property’s past.”
