Storefront windows and wall murals will come to life with beautiful installations and augmented reality across The Junction this winter as Window Wonderland returns from November 27th to January 31st, 2027.

Back for its seventh season, the free outdoor exhibition transforms Dundas Street West into a self-guided art experience, inviting visitors to discover animated artworks while exploring the neighbourhood’s shops and local businesses.

This year’s edition features 20 new storefront window installations and 12 year-round augmented-reality wall murals, alongside an indoor artist showcase, carollers, Santa photos and a special live performance.
Watch Art Come to Life
Created by The Junction BIA in partnership with Artivive, Window Wonderland brings together local and international artists through a mix of physical artwork and digital storytelling.
Visitors can download the free Artivive app and scan participating window displays and murals to reveal animations and sound, adding another dimension to the artwork.
This year’s theme, Movement + Glimmers, explores the neighbourhood’s energy and the small moments of joy, connection and winter wellness that bring people together.
“Window Wonderland has always been about finding new ways to experience art, our main street and each other during the winter months,” says Carol Jolly, Executive Director of The Junction BIA.
Discover an Indoor Artist Showcase
The art continues indoors at Latitude 44 Gallery, where visitors can browse 16 original works by eight Window Wonderland artists. Running from November 27th to January 31st, the showcase offers a closer look at the artists’ work beyond the outdoor installations. All pieces will be available for purchase.
Carollers and Santa Photos coming into the Neighbourhood
Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy free seasonal programming throughout the neighbourhood.
The McGregor Carollers will roam The Junction on November 29th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. They’ll return on December 6th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, performing outside MEDS Junction Pharmacy at 2956 Dundas Street West, near Pacific Avenue.
Families can also stop by for free photos with Santa on:
- December 5th, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Petti Fine Foods, 3077 Dundas Street West, Unit 1.
- December 6th, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: MEDS Junction Pharmacy, 2956 Dundas Street West.
On December 20th, physical theatre company CORPUS will bring its Merry Alpine Sheep Choir to Dundas Street West and Pacific Avenue for a special performance from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Whether you’re planning a winter walk, browsing local shops, or looking for a free outing, Window Wonderland offers a chance to see The Junction through a different lens.
