August is here, and the summer is not done,
The Toronto Folk Festival returns to Ward’s Island for three days of folk and roots music, community programming, and live performances from August 21st to 23rd. Now entering its third edition, the grassroots, artist-led festival will showcase more than 25 performers, with a strong focus on Toronto-based and Canadian talent.

More Than 25 Artists Take the Stage
This year’s lineup includes Abigail Lapell, Bobby Dove, Kobo Town, The Young Novelists, Jadea Kelly, Métis Jiggers and Fiddlers, Nii Osabu, Mexican Legacy Dancers and several other artists.

The festival will bring together a diverse mix of folk, roots, cultural and contemporary performances in a relaxed outdoor setting on the Toronto Islands.
Visitors can view the complete artist lineup through the festival’s official website.
Artisans, Vendors and Interactive Workshops
Beyond the live music, guests can shop from local artisans and vendors throughout the weekend.
The festival will also feature interactive workshops, allowing attendees to participate in creative and cultural activities alongside the performances.
Festival Pricing and Tickets
Those looking to attend can purchase a ticket pass for $99.
Festivalgoers who purchase three weekend passes can receive a fourth pass for free, making the offer ideal for families and groups attending together. Guests can also take advantage of the pay-what-you-can offering during the festival’s “Friday Community Night” on August 21st. Donations are accepted.
How to Get to the Festival
Since the festival takes place on Ward’s Island, attendees will need to travel by boat. During the festival, Pirate Water Taxi will offer festivalgoers a special fare of $10 each way, compared with its regular $13 fare.
