This November, NeighbourLink North York brings the holiday cheer to the Mel Lastman Square with their beloved We Love Willowdale Christmas Market and Tree-Lighting Ceremony on November 29th.

This festive community celebration will feature a variety of fun activities, entertainment, and joyful Christmas sounds from choirs, live bands, and performers. Guests can expect over 50 local artisans, food vendors, and small businesses offering unique gifts, handcrafted goods, and delicious holiday treats – from Beaver Tails and hearty soups to hot chocolate and more.

To kick off the holiday season, the Yonge North York BIA communities and elected officials will gather to light a 25-foot Christmas Tree at 6:30 pm. After the tree-lighting, the festivities continue with a live band and NeighbourLink’s traditional Community Sing-Along, inviting everyone to join in on the holiday spirit.

New this year, the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan will be available offering free Santa photo ops, samples of Coca-Cola and Fuze Iced Tea, and giveaways!

All funds raised at the event will go toward Neighbours Link’s year-end goal of raising 100K to continue their community care programs that alleviate poverty and social isolation. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food bank.

Last year’s market welcomed over 10,000 attendees to experience the magic of the season. Come partake in this fun community celebration.
