As the summer season sets, Toronto will light up as the city hosts the magical Water Lantern Festival on September 19th and 20th at the Downsview Park.

This unique experience will bring hundreds of guests around the Greater Toronto Area together for 2 unforgettable nights of community, live music, delicious food, family-friendly activities, along with the spectacular release of hundreds of glowing lanterns across the water at sunset.

Guests will get to design their own personalized floating lanterns with messages, artwork, or heartfelt wishes before releasing them into the water creating a magical spectacle under the night sky as the sun and watch it illuminate the night.

Those looking to partake in activities can explore the vendor market, enjoy bites from local food trucks, and take part in a scavenger hunt before settling in for the show. Gates open at 3 hours before the lantern launch at 7:30 pm.

Tickets start at $48. General admission includes entry to the festival, a lantern kit with decorating supplies, a tealight, a drawstring bag, and access to the scavenger hunt. Those looking to save can purchase group tickets at a discounted rate.
