To mark the start of the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse, Toronto will host a massive two-day celebration at Nathan Phillips Square, featuring live performances, cultural programming, and a dazzling fireworks display at City Hall on February 14th and 15th.

Known as the Toronto Spring Festival, the annual Chinese cultural celebration welcomes the new year while highlighting Toronto’s cultural diversity. The festival blends traditional customs with modern festivities, offering an immersive experience for residents and visitors alike.
Over the two days, attendees can enjoy live performances, traditional food, interactive workshops, and DJ and music sets, culminating in a fireworks spectacle on February 15th at 9:00 pm to officially ring in the Lunar New Year.
The Year of the Horse symbolizes success, liberation, and independence. These values are reflected in the festival’s vibrant programming and high-energy atmosphere. This year, an estimated 50,000 to 80,000 people are expected to attend the celebration.

More details and programming updates will be announced closer to the event. You can stay up to date by visiting the Toronto Spring Festival website.
