The majestic Toronto Dragon Festival (TDF) returns to Nathan Phillips Square this weekend, igniting the city with a thrilling fusion of Chinese tradition, technology, imagination, and culture from August 29th to 31st.
Returning for its 6th season, guests should expect
- High-pole lion and dragon dances will defy gravity with breathtaking acrobatics
- Irresistible Asian street foods and sold-out food booths to tempt every palate
- The magical Luminati Night Light Show, lighting up the skyline after dark
- The Reflection Water Show, transforming the iconic pool into a dreamscape
- A high-fashion runway show featuring Canada-made, traditional, and ethnic designs
New this year, beloved figures from Black Myth: Wukong and Chinese mythology’s iconic Nezha will come to life in vibrant performances, turning the square into a live-action fantasy universe while providing futuristic thrills.
Adding to the excitement, the festival will feature humanoid robots and robot dogs – dancing, interacting, and showing off their skills along with our dragons and lions, in a one-of-a-kind showcase that merges ancient cultural artistry with tomorrow’s technology.
