Join Sip and Scholar for engaging evenings where professors, experts, and storytellers bring their thought-provoking lectures to your favorite Toronto bars this Summer.
Attendees should expect intellectually stimulating conversations in an intimate, community and friendly atmosphere. The events usually run for 2 hours, there is a short opener to introduce the speaker, then 45 minutes for the lecture, and an opportunity to discuss and network after the event.
Tickets prices cover entry to the event and one beverage of your choosing (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options)
Their next event returns on June 17th with a lecture on the topic “Beyond the Bars: The Human Tragedy of Wrongful Convictions,” provided by Stephanie Nowak, Executive Director of Innocence Canada, the organization dedicated to identifying, advocating for, and exonerating the wrongly convicted.
Stephanie will unpack how these tragedies happen, what it takes to fight for justice, and explore the personal, legal, and societal impacts of wrongful convictions in Canada.
Sip and Scholar merges intellect, storytelling, and community. If you are looking for a place for insightful conversations in an intimate and community-friendly atmosphere in Toronto, this is for you. You can find details about their next lecture series below
