In collaboration with the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) and Fengate Asset Management, Black Artists’ Networks in Dialogue (BAND) presents the work of 3 artists, showcasing one-of-a-kind site-specific exhibits over the coming months to reimagine the corner of Adelaide and Charlotte Street.
The artists featured include Raoul Olou, Leone McComas, and Natalie Asumeng.
The first opening is Raoul Olou’s installation, Sabali.
Sabali is an invitation for the audience to engage in a journey of contemplation. It asks that we observe the world around us more closely, to identify hidden patterns and systems, and to distinguish between the original and its imitations.
Join them at BAND’s temporary space (401 Richmond St W., suite LL108) to learn more about Raoul’s practice and his process in creating this installation.
Attendees will walk over to the installation at Adelaide St. W. and Charlotte St. all together to take a closer look at the public art installation. So please dress for the weather!
