Marugame Udon, known worldwide for its handcrafted noodles and open-kitchen experience, is opening its first Toronto location at 494 Yonge Street on March 21st, marking a major milestone for the brand’s growth in Canada.
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the new restaurant will serve Marugame Udon’s signature Sanuki-style udon, prepared fresh daily using traditional Japanese techniques.
Guests will watch as their udon noodles are made fresh, from kneading and cutting to cooking, using traditional techniques that have defined the Marugame experience for decades.
On the Menu
Alongside its well-known udon bowls, the menu will feature a variety of Japanese favourites, including:
- Crispy chicken, shrimp, and vegetable tempura
- Flavourful rice bowls
- Classic Japanese sides and dishes
The Space
The Toronto location features an 80-seat dining space, designed to bring the energy of Marugame Udon’s signature open-kitchen concept to the city.
To celebrate the opening, the restaurant will be giving away four $250 gift cards. Guests who visit the location can enter for a chance to win, with winners announced on April 30th
The opening marks Marugame Udon’s third Canadian restaurant opening after opening in Vancouver in 2024 and Calgary in December 2025
