With its launch in 2020, the L’Oréal Fund for Women is a charitable fund to support frontline organizations in their efforts to help women get out of poverty and prevent domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence against women.
The Fund focuses on supporting women’s and girls’ empowerment, mainly through projects favoring social or professional integration and education. Specific attention is paid to refugee women and women with disabilities.

Available Funding

• €30 million over three years (2023-2026) to frontline organizations in their efforts to help women get out of poverty and prevent domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence against women.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for the Fund include

• Grassroots non-profit or not-for-profit organization of general interest, with official accreditation and eligible for philanthropic funds.

• Organizations that cannot distribute any part of its revenues to its members, directly or indirectly.

• Organizations with more than two years of official existence (unless the organization has a vital documented innovative component responding to a specific need).

• Organizations with a minimum of 100 beneficiaries per year.

• The organization operates directly (not providing only engineering or coordination of the project) without subcontracting to local/smaller organizations.

Nature of the activity/project for which the request is made:

• The final beneficiaries must be highly vulnerable women or girls in a situation of poverty/underprivileged (absence or lack of revenues, homelessness, single parent, Isolation in rural areas or the suburbs, etc.), victims of violence, refugees, or in a situation of disability.

• Beyond emergency relief, the activity focuses on women’s or girls’ empowerment, especially encouraging social and professional integration or access to education.

• Project activities can be a service, an instrument with a social purpose, or a field operation.

Scope:

•  The Fund is open internationally and can support local or national projects/activities.

• Projects can be in the design/ideation phase, in the implementation phase, or already in the operation phase.
