This weekend, on July 18th, Lavazza hosts the world premiere of Nuvola—an insightful documentary showcasing the Open Project for the City at the Lavazza IncluCity Festival in Toronto’s Distillery District.
Presented as part of Lavazza’s 130th anniversary celebrations, the 52-minute documentary offers an artistic exploration of the company’s Turin headquarters and its impact on the surrounding community. Directed by Luca Caon with creative direction by Francesca Molteni, this is the first full public screening of the film following excerpt previews at the Venice Biennale.
The film unfolds in eight cinematic chapters, revealing the inner workings of Lavazza’s urban renewal project, including a museum, garden square, restaurant, and a repurposed power plant—each showcasing the harmony between innovation and community.
Also, attending guests will also enjoy a premium tasting experience featuring offerings from Masi Prosecco, Birra Moretti, Campari, Ferrero, Lavazza, Barilla, and Eataly—all included with your ticket!
As always, you can keep up with all the fun happenings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area on efosa.
About The Festival
The Lavazza IncluCity Festival is one of Canada’s leading multicultural events, held each summer in Toronto’s historic Distillery District and run by the Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF). Now in its 14th year, the festival has evolved into a city-wide celebration of international cinema, global cultures, and immersive public programming.
The “IncluCity” brand reflects a broader mission: to champion inclusivity, cross-cultural dialogue, and diverse storytelling traditions. Each summer, the Distillery District is transformed into an open-air festival village where film screenings, art installations, music, design, architecture and culinary experiences come together.
The festival attracts over 250,000 attendees each year, including members of the public, media, cultural institutions, and international guests. With its commitment to storytelling, accessibility and innovation, the festival is a cultural anchor that continues to elevate Canada’s artistic landscape.
