Toronto’s beloved celebration of Tamil street food and South Asian culture, Kothu Fest 2025, is back for its milestone 10th season on August 9th at Albert Campbell Square in Scarborough — and it promises to be bigger, bolder, and more flavour-packed than ever.
This free, family-friendly festival will provide a fun-filled day with mouthwatering Sri Lankan Tamil street food, non-stop music, dance, and a vibrant celebration of culture. New this year, Kothu Fest will feature over 25 Tamil DJs and artists, all bringing their best beats, vocals, and moves to the stage. From high-energy dance performances to live sets and cultural showcases, the lineup is stacked with talent from the Tamil community.
From spicy kothus to creamy curries and fusion creations, food lovers can taste iconic dishes from the best Tamil food vendors, including Saffron Spice Kitchen, Rasa Thi, Fusion By T, Taste of Colombo, Southern Aroma on the Go, Ceylon Caffeine, and more. Of course, the classic Kothu Roti will be available.
Also, there will be a food contest to crown the fastest Kothu Roti eater who takes home the Kothu Fest Championship Belt, a kids zone with arcade games, and lots of fun activities for the family.
As always, you can keep up with all the fun happenings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area on efosa.
