In partnership with the Globe and Mail, the Canadian Women’s Foundation hosts a free virtual discussion on the relevant topic, Thriving at Work: Prioritizing Women’s Mental Wellness. The discussion will center on how employers can better support women’s mental health by creating a supportive environment.

March 5th – OBIO’s International Women’s Day Celebration

March 6th – 2nd Annual Women Celebrating Women
Baker, Suzy Gazzellone hosts an evening marketplace and fundraiser in honour of International Women’s Day, celebrating women-owned businesses, connection, and community. There will be delicious finger foods and desserts, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, music, and a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, which provides safe housing and support for women and children fleeing violence and abuse.

Running from March 6th to 15th, Women at Play(s) features seven new Canadian short plays written, directed, produced, and performed by woman-identified artists. Each play is 10-15 minutes in length, and ALL the plays are presented at each performance.

International Women’s Day Rally is an annual march in Toronto highlighting both local and global issues impacting women.

March 7th – International Women’s Day Celebration by the City of Brampton
The City of Brampton celebrates International Women’s Day with a special International Women’s Day event at The Rose, featuring a free panel discussion, followed by a mainstage performance by NEWCHOIR presenting Women Who Rock, featuring Brampton’s own Lee Aaron. Tickets are only required for the mainstage performance.

March 8th – International Women’s Day Yoga Fundraiser at 10XTO
10XTO, Toronto’s luxury private members’ athletic club, hosts its fourth annual International Women’s Day Yoga fundraiser event this March. A two-hour yoga event at Hotel X Toronto focused on women’s empowerment, strength, and inspiration, with 100% of the funds raised benefitting Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter.
The event will start with a 45-minute modern yoga (Vinyasa). Participants will then be guided through a breathwork and singing bowl sound bath.
Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable and warm clothing for stretches.

March 9th – Yes Shef Tasting Event
In celebration of International Women’s Day, WORTH Association is hosting Yes Shef, an unforgettable tasting event spotlighting Canadian women in food and beverage, on March 9th at The International Centre in Mississauga.
Presented in partnership with Restaurants Canada, Yes Shef is a one-of-a-kind tasting experience featuring over 20 food and beverage stations with unlimited tastings. March 12th – REEL Thursdays Presents Out Standing
Out Standing tells the story of Sandra Perron, Canada’s first woman infantry officer. Raised in a military family, Perron pursued her own dream of serving her country with great determination after joining the Canadian Forces in 1984. Perron faced challenges far beyond the gruelling physical demands and ugly instances of harassment and abuse. It was the institutional sexism that surrounded her in the Canadian military that arguably became her most relentless adversary. Out Standing succeeds first and foremost as a riveting portrait of a person whose outward tenacity masks deeper reservoirs of anger and vulnerability.

March 15th – Age Out Loud: An International Women’s Month Panel
In partnership with the Kimpton Saint George Hotel, an inspiring afternoon hosted by Shantelle Bisson hosts a dynamic panel exploring confidence, reinvention, and what it truly means to age out loud in your 40s and beyond.
Following the discussion, guests can mingle over light bites, browse a curated market of women-owned businesses, and bring home a curated gift bag. All proceeds support Shelter Movers, a charity providing free moving and storage services to individuals and families fleeing abuse.
