The City of Mississauga is accepting applications for its grant programs this fall for its residents looking to support arts, culture, heritage and community programs in the Mississauga Area
Community Grant by the City of Mississauga
The Community Grant not-for-profit, community organizations that are registered in the City of Mississauga’s Community Group Registry Program and supports them to deliver programs and services that keep Mississauga residents active, healthy and engaged in their communities.
Available Funding
Annual grants are available to provide up to $10,000 or up to 65% of an organization’s total operating budget (whichever is less) to support project or program-related expenses for organizations that extend the variety and choice of programs and services for Mississauga residents and can be delivered successfully within one calendar year

Small Project Matching Grant by the City of Mississauga
The Small Projects Matching Grant program provides small grants of $250 to $2,500 to support community projects that strengthen neighbourhoods, increase resident engagement, enhance opportunities for Mississauga residents to participate in events and activities at the neighbourhood level

Cultural Festivals and Celebrations Grant by the City of Mississauga
The Cultural Festivals and Celebrations (CFC) Grant program provides funding for not-forprofit organizations and BIAs to offset the eligible expenses associated with the presentation of arts, heritage and cultural festivals/celebrations to Mississauga residents and visitors.
Available Funding
- Applicants who have not received funding from the City of Mississauga in the past four years are considered “New and Emerging” applicants and are eligible to apply for a maximum of 30% of their total operating budget or up to $15,000, whichever is less.
- Previous grant recipients that are legally incorporated not-for-profits/charities operating for a minimum of four years are eligible to apply for a maximum of 30% of their total operating budget or up to $120,000, whichever is less.
- All grant requests above $20,000 require the organization to produce audited financial statements for their previous fiscal year and year-to-date financial statements up to August 2024

Culture Projects Grant by the City of Mississauga
The 2025 Culture Projects Grant Program supports organizations, collectives and BIAs to create temporary, site-specific arts and culture projects that reimagine and activate urban
spaces throughout the City of Mississauga. Themed “Animating Urban Spaces,” the goal of the grant is to support the presentation of art outside of traditional galleries, venues, and presentation spaces
Available Funding
Applicants can apply for up to $5000, or 50% of the project cost, whichever is less.

Arts and Culture Grant by the City of Mississauga
The Arts and Culture Grant Program provides funding for not-for-profit cultural organizations to offset the cost of their operating expenses. Organizations supported by this grant will extend the variety of quality, diverse arts, culture, and heritage programs and services offered to residents throughout Mississauga neighbourhoods.
Available Funding
- Applicants who have not received funding from the City of Mississauga in the past four years are considered “New and Emerging” applicants and are eligible to apply for a maximum of 50% of their total operating budget or up to $15,000, whichever is less.
- Previous grant recipients that are legally incorporated not-for-profits/charities operating for a minimum of four years are eligible to apply for a maximum of 50% of their total operating budget or up to $120,000, whichever is less.
- Applicants eligible and invited to submit a multi-year grant application can apply for a maximum of 65% of their total operating budget.
