Every year, for Bob Marley’s Earthday, the Marley family hosts an event in Jamaica and select remote locations worldwide.
Humanity Ova Vanity (H.O.V.) is honored and excited to have the opportunity to curate an activation to Celebrate Bob Marley’s 79th Earthday with members of the Marley family for the first time in the history of the city of Toronto!
With the support of the O.C.S. and the Don Arts Academy, we invite you to spend a few hours immersed in the world, sounds, culture, reasoning, and higher vibrations that inspired Bob Marley.
It is an inclusive experience with delicious food and juices, art installations inspired by Bob’s daily life, and musical tributes by Waleed Abdulhamid and Jah’Mila.
As a highlight of the night, we will have an intimate conversation with international recording artist and Grammy winner Sharon Marley as she remembers her father off stage, his values and pet peeves, his favorite things to do at home, family memories, and more.
We get a chance to step beyond the celebrity and the legend to understand the mystics of a man born in the mountains of Jamaica who would change the world with his music and culture.
An unforgettable night, hanging with the Marleys, H.O.V., and our sponsors O.C.S. and Don Arts Academy to celebrate Bob Marley’s 79th Earthday and create come-unity.
H.O.V. will further collaborate with The Don Arts Academy for their upcoming Vocal camp to support youth skills development in the G.T.A. This is One Love in Action.
