BLK Book Fair, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the visibility of Black Canadian Authors and Writers, hosts a Beyond The Pages: Connecting Authors For Success community event on November 16th at the Enrich Centre, connecting the Toronto community with Black aspiring and established authors, editors, illustrators, and publishers.
This community event will offer a unique opportunity to engage in fireside chats, informative sessions, and conversations with authors, providing the opportunity to meet and network with authors, learn about their author journey, and learn about the business of growing your brand as an author.
The fireside chat, a highlight of the event, will feature authors Olamidotun Votu-Obada, Pearl-Catherine Tita, J. Nadia Headley, and Victoria Daley. They will be discussing a wide range of topics, from The Power of Collaboration to building connections with authors, and leveraging those connections to grow your author business.
Also, guests will learn how to leverage AI to facilitate their authorship journey via the ‘Authors & Algorithms’ with Author Kamelah Blair. Furthermore, there will be an inspiring fireside chat with Dr. Sam Tita Fombang and Christene Lewis, discussing and sharing personal stories on their author journey, and an entrepreneurship session on scaling your business by Courtney Fraser, award-winning business lawyer and founder of the Fraser & Associates Legal Group.
Winner of the Audience Choice Award at the CaribbeanTales International Film Festival and Executive VP & Co-Owner of AfroGlobal Television, Patricia Bebia, will be the special guest speaker at the event.
Complimentary drinks and appetizers will be served.
