Movement, music and storytelling take centre stage this November as dance Immersion brings the Immersion Festival, a two-week celebration of Black Canadian dance to Toronto audiences

Running from November 8th to 22nd, the festival brings together Black dance artists, educators and cultural leaders from across Canada, alongside international delegates, to celebrate the creativity and diversity of dance rooted in the African Diaspora.

The festival’s programming spans three stage presentations, more than 10 dance workshops and three community gatherings, bringing together artists and audiences from across Canada and beyond.
On stage, guests can experience:
- Next Gen Youth Presentation – A showcase of Black-led youth dance groups and the next generation of Canadian talent.
- National Presentation – Six Black Canadian artists and companies from Toronto, Montréal, Calgary and Nova Scotia share their work.
- Vanguard Presentation – Seven commissioned collaborations bring dance artists and live musicians together on stage.
