A new after-dark experience is arriving in Markham this fall. Pumpkins After Dark Markham, billed as Canada’s largest family-friendly walk-through pumpkin experience, makes its debut at Markham Museum this weekend, illuminating the grounds with over 10,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns.

Running October 2nd to 31st, the experience invites visitors to wander through illuminated pumpkin displays, with intricate carvings and seasonal scenes creating a striking backdrop for an autumn evening.
An Evening of Pumpkin Art and Halloween Fun
Beyond the displays, guests can enjoy live entertainment and pumpkin-carving demonstrations that offer a closer look at the craft behind the creations. Costumed actors and characters will add to the Halloween atmosphere, while a trick-or-treat area brings an extra touch of fun for younger visitors.

There will be Halloween treats along the way, and photo opportunities throughout the grounds will give guests plenty of reasons to pause and take instagrammable shots.
Special Nights Throughout October
The month-long run will also feature themed evenings, including an adults’ night, pet nights for those bringing their furry companions and Halloween movie nights. Visitors can check the event schedule to choose an evening that suits their plans.

Whether you’re gathering the family, meeting friends or planning a fall date night, Pumpkins After Dark Markham offers a chance to spend an evening surrounded by pumpkin art and the glow of the season.
