This week, a unique cultural and wellness fundraising event, The Bajan Serve: Beyond the Court Fundraiser, will take place at Plock Tennis Club, bringing community, Caribbean culture, movement, and health advocacy together for a meaningful cause.

Taking place on July 11th, the event will support the Black Health Alliance, with 100% of event proceeds going directly toward vital health resources, research, and community initiatives designed to improve health outcomes for Black communities in Canada.

Attendees can expect a fun-filled afternoon of community connection, wellness, fundraising, Caribbean music, food, and road tennis.
The event will feature a panel discussion with
- Ron Kellman, founder of Road Tennis Canada and Gauntlet Road Tennis;
- Tiana Pollari, perimenopause and transformation coach and co-founder of Sweat in Barbados; and
- Coach T of Sweat Elite Athletics, former athlete and co-founder of Sweat in Barbados.
Following the panel, guests can take part in an engaging road tennis demonstration before enjoying free time to play the sport, use Plock Tennis Club’s amenities, listen to Caribbean music, enjoy authentic food, and connect with the community.

The event will also feature on-site activations, including tooth gem installations by Club Patra and a collaboration between Rubicon and Tropical Irie, where attendees can try curated signature drinks made with Rubicon Caribbean juices.

For those unable to attend in person, or for anyone looking to make a greater impact, The Bajan Serve is also raising $10,000 through its Beyond the Court fundraiser. You can make donations here
