This summer, Toronto will welcome one of Canada’s largest celebrations of Nepalese and Himalayan culture as the Himalayan Mela festival returns to Nathan Phillips Square for its 18th season.

Set in the heart of downtown Toronto, the festival will bring together community, culture, food, music, dance, and tradition for a vibrant celebration of Nepal’s rich heritage and the broader Himalayan region.

Guests can expect a colourful cultural showcase featuring authentic Nepalese cuisine, traditional dance performances, live music, cultural displays, artisan vendors, and family-friendly programming throughout the day. From bold flavours and handcrafted goods to music and movement, the festival will offer visitors a chance to experience the warmth, beauty, and diversity of Nepalese culture.

One of the major highlights of the celebration will be the community parade, where participants will take part in a lively procession featuring traditional attire, cultural symbols, music, and dance. The parade will bring colour and energy to Nathan Phillips Square while celebrating the pride, identity, and spirit of the Nepalese community in Toronto.
