Luminato Festival, Toronto’s largest festival of extraordinary and diverse art experiences, returns this June for a milestone 20th season from June 3rd to 28th, bringing more than four weeks of bold, playful, and immersive art experiences to venues and public spaces across the city.

This year’s festival will once again transform Toronto into a city-wide playground for creativity, bringing together leading Canadian and international artists across theatre, circus, dance, opera, music, magic, film, and public art.

Running over four weeks, Luminato Festival 2026 will feature more than 50 free and ticketed events alongside over 140 performances at more than 25 locations throughout Toronto. Guests can expect over 1,000 artists, eight exclusive Canadian commissions, and seven world premieres lighting up the city through large-scale performances, installations, and interactive experiences.

This year’s festival theme, PLAY, explores imagination, inspiration, resilience, and the shifting dynamics of power, while encouraging audiences to reflect on justice, reconciliation, equal play, and human connection through artistic expression.
