This spring, Toronto celebrates its 191st Anniversary Festival at the city’s most iconic gathering place, Nathan Phillips Square, on March 7th, bringing the city together for an evening of skating, food, shopping, live music, and fireworks.

Running from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, this free-to-attend celebration will transform downtown Toronto into a vibrant festival space. Guests can explore a 6,000 sq. ft. curated marketplace featuring over 100 local brands, highlighting the creativity and talent of Toronto-based entrepreneurs and businesses.

Food stalls inspired by Toronto’s diverse cultural scene will serve up a wide range of flavours, while live performances from local artists and interactive activities keep the energy going throughout the evening.

One of this year’s highlights is the DJ Skate Party, where attendees are invited to hit the ice dressed as characters from Mirvish’s iconic Toronto theatre productions. From timeless classics to modern favourites, the skate party pays tribute to Mirvish Productions, a cornerstone of live entertainment that has helped shape Toronto’s cultural landscape for generations.

Guests aged over 19 can also enjoy the Glow Bar, a licensed lounge featuring local craft beer and spirits. The celebration culminates with an epic fireworks display at 9:00 PM, lighting up Toronto City Hall in honour of the city’s birthday.
