Toronto’s Michelin-starred Italian fine dining destination DaNico won big at this year’s 2025 World Luxury Awards in Barcelona, Spain, taking home three prestigious awards at the show, celebrating the pinnacle of achievement in the luxury hotel industry. The restaurant was named:

• Best Luxury Specialty Restaurant (Global Winner)
• Best Haute Cuisine in North America
• Best Italian Cuisine in North America

These honours recognize DaNico’s elevated approach to modern Italian dining and mark a defining achievement for Toronto’s culinary scene.

The Best Italian Cuisine in North America celebrates Partner Chef Daniele Corona’s innovative approach to Italian culinary traditions infused with global influences. Combined with the global Best Luxury Specialty Restaurant title, this recognition is a defining achievement for Little Italy, solidifying DaNico’s reputation as one of the world’s premier fine dining destinations and a must-visit destination for diners from around the globe.

The World Luxury Awards celebrate excellence across the global luxury sector, with winners determined through a rigorous evaluation process that considers quality, innovation, service excellence, and overall guest experience.

ABOUT DaNico

Since opening in September 2023, DaNico has become a pillar of fine dining in Toronto’s Palmerston–Little Italy neighbourhood. The restaurant is a collaboration between Michelin-starred Chef Daniele Corona, and renowned hospitality entrepreneur Nick Di Donato of Liberty Entertainment Group.

 

Chef Daniele Corona, originally from Naples, previously led Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto, and later DaNico in 2024 and 2025 to earn a coveted Michelin star, and has been recognized as Chef of the Year by 50 Top Italy.
